New Orleans is the birthplace of Jazz and our Bed and Breakfast is just steps from the hottest clubs in New Orleans. The Frenchmen St. entertainment district is literally around the corner and within three minutes of leaving your private room you can be in listening to live jazz at The Spotted Cat or Snug Harbor, blues at the Apple Barrel, reggae at Café Negril, world beat, Salsa and Latin Jazz at the Blue Nile. About a ten minute walk from the Bed and Breakfast into the heart of the French Quarter will bring you to the world famous Preservation Hall, The Palm Court Café, and Fritzels'. National touring acts appear nightly at the House of Blues, and the world famous Tipitina's. If you are a parrot head in town for a Jimmy Buffet Concert, he often makes a surprise appearance at his Margaritaville restaurant the night before his show!
Of course if you want to have a good old fashioned pub crawl then you have found the right place. No other city can boast as many famous drinking establishments as New Orleans, after all, the "cocktail" was invented right down the street from us! Our bed and breakfast guests often enjoy tipping a few back at such places as the Old Absinthe House, the Napoleon House, Jean Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop, Pat O'Brien's, Johnny Whites, Tropical Isle, The Avenue Pub, OZ, Friends Bar, the Country Club and the Apple Barrel
